Sandor McSwain has been in the home construction industry for over 30 years. Sandor started in the trades while still in college. After college Sandor went to work for a local home builder where he worked his way up through the ranks eventually becoming a project manager. During those years Sandor was involved in every facet of the home construction process. Now after receiving his North Carolina Home inspectors license he is able to use the experience and knowledge gained over the years to provide home owners and prospective homeowners with a qualified home inspection report.   Home Inspection is an integrated process of observation and report writing where definite procedures exists for inspecting and reporting each system and component of a home.  In this process each step that your home inspector takes is a guided tour presented by the home itself.  The home inspector is an observer or a guest on a quest of information gathering and discovery, a quest to acquire an understanding of the home as a system to ensure defect discovery.    There are two parts of an inspection, the actual field inspection and the home inspection report.   Experience, technical knowledge, and training allows the inspector to thoroughly inspect  and accurately report  defects related to the key systems of the home including: Structural Components, Wall Cladding, Roofing, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Insulation, and Ventilation. Certified Home Inspectors are licensed home inspectors that have obtained advanced education and training through professional certification programs.   The decision to purchase a home is often based on the location, size, floor plan, general appearance, and purchase price. The Seller may have made some disclosures about the current state of the home, but for the most part the offer to purchase was made on a general understanding between all parties that all parts of the home are functioning as intended.   While an individualized specialist can be hired to inspect a specialized system, a licensed home inspector is trained in observing and inspecting the systems of a home
